Kent State 1970: When Richard Nixon said that he would send troops to Cambodia, college students protested. 4 American students were killed by the American soldiers.
The Crimean War 1855: Roger Fenton produced 350 war images.
Birmingham 1963: For a long time, Birmingham was considered the South's toughest city. Although the black were in majority, in spite of that they were treated badly by the whites. This is the time when Martin Luther King repeatedly landed in jail.
Anne Frank 1941: Everyone knows her story. Six million Jews were killed in the Holocaust. This is a book of hope & humanity. Discrimination can lead to hatred & you kill people eventually. Even today I've seen people spreading hatred amongst people & regard themselves as very noble humans. There shouldn't be any place for discrimination & hatred. But you only give people what you have.
Breakers Boy 1910: Just what Charles Dickens expressed in words, you could see it in this picture.
Lynching 1930: These 2 blacks were accused of raping a girl; the 3rd black was somehow saved by the girl's uncle. 10,000 whites went to the county jailhouse doors. Today these images only highlight the fact that humans have not come as far from brutality as they think. You could see some of them are so elated about the entire thing. This is obscene. But this is what happens when you hate & discriminate as if it's a part of your faith.
