2 days ago, TOM was scheduled to be killed at NYC AC&C Brooklyn for an injured tail. Thankfully, an extremely kind-hearted soul, Christine Hope, spent all day Christmas Eve making sure this sweet boy was saved! Tom was supposed to go to an adopter out of the area, but unfortunately, it appears that that person cannot provide for him. So Christine still has Tom at her apartment in NYC.
Tom has an injury to his tail, as-yet undetermined nerve damage to his rear end, and multiple, now-healing abrasions scattered over his body.
On Christmas night, Christine took Tom to Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists on an emergency basis, where it was determined that Tom needs his tail amputated IMMEDIATELY. His tail is actually separated from his body and there is a pocket of infected fluid building up between where his tail should attach to his spine.
Tom's amputation surgery is scheduled for Sunday morning, December 26. This surgery and related care is estimated to cost between $3100 - $3800, and funds are needed FAST!
PLEASE - CAN YOU HELP TOM AND CHRISTINE? ANYTHING AT ALL WILL HELP!
